The Business of Singing workshops and private consultations came about as a result of the frustration and unhappiness I was seeing from fellow singers, as well as my own frustration in the transitional years of my career. I had been taught how to sing, but nobody taught me how to develop my career!

Through the kindness and generosity of older, more experienced colleagues, I slowly learned; and promised myself that I would try to share with others in the way they had shared with me.

I offer my clients the perspective of a currently working, managed singer --- an "in-the-trenches" perspective. I am in the career, plugging away, right this minute, not 10 years ago. I am facing, or have recently faced and overcome, many of the same challenges my clients face. I have learned through my own experience that there is no one better to advise singers than other singers.

And I'm willing to put that experience to work for you. I've recently written a book to help young singers find the school, teacher, and education that can help them launch a career. I love to answer the questions no one else wants to talk about. A seminar client recently told me, "I really thank you for creating this business and sharing it with others---so many would not." Past clients have commented on my thoroughness and ability to focus on their specific issues and help them find solutions that work for them. There is plenty of general advice available to singers, but sometimes there is no substitute for one-on-one attention to your specific needs.
